On the last day of the month of spirituality, Bulgarian writing and speech, the Mission Gallery hosted a presentation of Filip Dimitrov's latest book "Brothers", realized by Stefan Dobrev Publishing House, as well as a conversation with the author as an experienced politician, diplomat, and writer.

The presentation of the book and the subsequent discussion included the director of the State Institute for Culture under the Minister of Foreign Affairs Snezhana Yoveva, the director of the Diplomatic Institute under the Minister of Foreign Affairs Tanya Mihailova, the actor Rusi Chanev, representatives of Stefan Dobrev Publishing House, diplomats, students, intellectuals and historians. The audience was captivated by the excerpts from the novel "Brothers" read by the famous Bulgarian actor Rusi Chanev, who provoked a discussion about the modern dimensions of human relationships - today and now. The novel is gaining popularity and is relevant in the context of dynamic events and themes about relationships and the sacred meaning of brotherhood, the defense of truth and the power of solidarity. The author Filip Dimitrov expressed gratitude for the opportunity of the event and focused on the topics that provoked him to write the book and look at the historical layers, personalities and actions that can give us topics for reflection in the future.

This is the third historical book by Filip Dimitrov after "For They Lived, Lord" (1991) and "Light of Men" (2004), already published in English (2019). The introductory words to it read: "History without faces is like a night sky without stars - incomprehensible and boring."

The event is part of the program of the State Institute for Culture "Writing Diplomats" and is realized in partnership with the Diplomatic Institute.
