FANTASIES ON SILK. FORMS OF CARDBOARD

On May 12 2016, Mrs. Lyudmila Dimitrova, Director of the State Institute for Culture, opened "Fantasies on silk. Forms of cardboard", a joint exhibition by Ophelia Tsvetanova and Pirina "Zhambyu" Lachkova, whose creative quests in painting and applied art has brought them together for their first joint project.

Ophelia Tsvetanova presents paintings on silk that lead us into the world of an underwater kingdom, the power of the mountains and abstraction. Pirinа "Zhambyu" Lachkova shows unique and creative volumetric shapes with functional purposes, made via a special original technology from cardboard.

The event is part of the Night of Museums 2016 on May 21 from 3pm to 6pm in the Mission Gallery of the State Institute for Culture, at which the artists will show the audience their skills and the technology used to create their works. Guests will have the opportunity to take part in a workshop on applied arts, and with the help of Ophelia Tsvetanova and Pirin "Zhambyu" Lachkova, work with stained glass and shapes from cardboard.
