“Europe.art” exhibition

The exhibition marks the Bulgarian membership to the European Union and the Fiftieth anniversary from signing the Treaties of Rome. The event is organized by the Institute for Culture within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in partnership with Sofia City Art Gallery and the embassies of Albania, Belgium, the United Kingdom, Germany, Greece, Estonia, Ireland, Italy, Serbia, Turkey, Hungary, Finland, France, the Netherlands and Sweden. Two of the works that represent Bulgaria - “How you see Bulgaria” by Samuil Stoyanov and “Together” by Kiril Prashkov were purchased for the collection of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in conclusion of the competition organized by the Institute for Culture. Other Bulgarian artists represented were Dimitar Kazakov – Neron with “Asparuh”, Dimitar Kirov with “Requiem” and Yordan Krachmarov with “A portrait of Hristo Botev”. The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivaylo Kalfin opend the “europe.art” exhibition at the Sofia City Art gallery (Sofia City Art Gallery, 1 Gurko Street) on 17 April 2007.

The exhibition will be opened for visitors till 27 May.
