Exhibition of award winning artists from the International Graphic Art Biennale Istanbul

Under the Sixth International Trianale of Graphic Art Sofia ‘2010, the “Mission” gallery at the State Institute of Culture hosts the Istanbul International Biennale of Graphic Art in Turkey, Istanbul, category Award winning artists. The Sixth International Triennale of Graphic Art is among the major international events dedicated to visual art that has all prospects to grow into an edge-cutting venue presenting contemporary graphic art from all over the world. The Trianale collection is a variegated panoramic overview of classical and experimental graphic art concepts alike, and featuring the work of artists from 22 countries worldwide. Among the guests are Prof. Suleiman Tekchan, founder and director of the International Graphic Art Biennale in Istanbul; Hugo Besard, winner of dozens of graphic art awards, and also leading professor in Antwerp, as well as Prof. Tan Ping from Beijing, representing the famous graphic tradition of China. This year’s edition of the International Graphic Art Trianale has been first to feature an extensive concomitant programme of parallel exhibitions. Onstage at 7 elite galleries in the capital city, these collections serve to imply to the audience the multifaceted value and infinite bounty of contemporary graphic art aspects and representations, while proving the enormous potential of their experience.
The fruitful partnership of the State Institute of Culture and the International Trianale of Graphic Art can be traced back to 2007. The exposition “Graphic art works from the 5th International Trianale” has been included in the Institute’s touring exhibition project and many times displayed in a number of European countries as well as the US.

The exposition will be open for visitors Dec 1st to Dec 9th 2010.
