Participation of Bulgaria in the Francophone Film Festival in Tunis

In the period June 3-19, 2024, the Francophone Cinema Festival was held at the French Institute in Tunis, in which 14 countries participated - Argentina, Austria, Bulgaria, Belgium, Gabon, Egypt, Cameroon, Canada, Morocco, Romania, Serbia, Tunisia, France, Switzerland, as well as the Belgian region of Wallonia-Brussels. Some of the titles were also screened at the French Institute in Sousse.

The Bulgarian participation in the festival, which made it possible to present contemporary Bulgarian cinema in Tunisia, took place with the assistance and support of the National Film Center and the State Institute for Culture. Bulgaria participated with the film "Mother" by the director Zornitsa Sofia, which was screened in the capital Tunis.
