Bulgaria will Participate in the European Cinema Days in Türkiye in 2024
Within the framework of the upcoming European Cinema Days 2024 in Türkiye, organized in cooperation with the Delegation of the EU to Türkiye, the embassies of the EU Member States, the National Institutes of Culture of the EU and several EU Information Centers, Bulgaria will be represented with the film "The Naked Truth About the Zhiguli Group" directed by Victor Bozhinov (2021). The film was produced by Concept Studio, producer Krastyo Lambev. The participation is carried out by the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Ankara with the assistance of the State Institute for Culture to the Minister of Foreign Affairs.
The screenings of the Bulgarian film will take place on the following dates and places:
Ankara - April 19, 2024, 6:00 p.m., Kızılay Büyülü Fener Cinema
Istanbul - 3 May 2024, 18:00, Jadebostan Cultural Center (CKM) Kadıköy
Antalya, Denizli, Eskişehir, Edirne, Izmir, Trabzon, Samsun, Diyarbakır - 10 May 2024, 18:00 at various cultural centers and cinemas
In addition to its participation with a film, Bulgaria will be part of the gala opening of the European Cinema Days 2024 in Ankara and Istanbul with the film "Stepne" (2023), a joint production of Ukraine, Germany, Poland and Slovakia.
Assistance for the translation of the subtitles of the Bulgarian film into Turkish was provided by the Department of Bulgarian Language and Literature at Ankara University. Funding for the subtitles and the production of DCP copies of the film for screening in the various cities was provided by the EU Delegation in Ankara.
A total of 19 EU member states, including Bulgaria, are participating in this year's edition of the cinematographic event. All film screenings will be free for visitors.
