Sofia Regional Center - UNESCO and the State Cultural Institute are strengthening cooperation
On December 14, the General Assembly of the Sofia Regional Center - UNESCO will be held online. It was attended by all the countries of the South-Eastern Europe region, which are under the auspices of the Center.
During the meeting, Executive Director Irena Todorova presented a detailed Report for the past year 2023, as well as the plan for 2024, which were accepted. The representatives of all 17 countries expressed their gratitude to the team of the Regional Center for the hard work and cooperation for the protection of the living heritage in the region.
Within the framework of the meeting, new members of the Executive Council of the Regional Center were also accepted - Amelia Gesheva, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Culture and Snezhana Joveva-Dimitrova, Director of the State Cultural Institute under the Minister of Foreign Affairs as a representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs , appointed by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Maria Gabriel.
