The Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivan Kondov officially opened the "Francophone Muses" recital, held on May 15, 2023 at the Mission Gallery of the State Institute for Culture of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The event is part of the program of events on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Bulgaria's full membership in the International Organization of La Francophonie, which takes place under the patronage of the Vice President of the Republic of Bulgaria, Mrs. Iliana Yotova.

The poetry evening was organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the State Institute for Culture and the "Europe and the World" Foundation, with the support of the Group of Francophone Ambassadors in Bulgaria, chaired by Mrs. Zakia El Midaoui, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco. Francophone poets Aksinia Mihailova, Boyko Lambovski, Dimana Ivanova and Gergina Dvoretska read their poems in French, as well as their translations of works by French-language poets.

In his welcome speech, Minister Ivan Kondov pointed out that through poetry we want to highlight the richness and diversity of the Francophonie - a community that encompasses many cultures and languages. "With this poetry evening, we also pay tribute to the Bulgarian poetic talents for their contribution to poetry in the French language and for the popularization of Francophone poetry in Bulgaria," noted the Minister of Foreign Affairs.
