The Palace of Culture in Tunis - Host of a Bulgarian Event

On October 21, 2022, Ambassador Veselin Dyankov and the Director of the State Institute for Culture Snezhana Joveva opened the Days of Bulgarian Cinema at the Palace of Culture in Tunis with the Director of the Tunisian Cinema Center Khaled Azek. The event was attended by the first diplomats of Germany, Argentina, the Czech Republic, as well as other guests.

Within the framework of the film festival, the feature films "The Foreigner" (2012) by director Niki Iliev and two films by director Stanislav Donchev - "Letters from Antarctica" (2019) and "Bubble Gum" (2017) were presented. The program also included the documentaries "Testament, My Father's Letters" (2022), dedicated to Prof. Minko Balkanski with author Albena Nenkova, "Antarctica" (2020) with author Zhivko Konstantinov and "The Way of Light" (2021), with producer Prof. Ph.D. Anna-Maria Totomanova and director Ivan Radev. Director Albena Nenkova personally presented her film to the Tunisian audience.

During the film festival, the latest traveling photo exhibition from the collection of the State Institute for Culture "Bulgaria from a Bird's Eye View" was presented at the Palace of Culture in Tunis.

On the eve of the opening, on October 18, 2022, Ambassador Veselin Dyankov presented the two cultural events in an interview for the authoritative Tunisian radio RTCI, as publications were also placed in the printed publications "Le Temps", "La Presse", in the popular electronic publication "Tuniscope " and others.
