"The Image of Don Quixote Through the Ages. Publications from the Collection of the National Library" is an exhibition prepared by the Embassy of the Kingdom of Spain in Bulgaria. The purpose of the exhibition is to present to visitors a series of illustrations of the characters and their adventures in the novel "Don Quixote", through the interpretation and imagination of various artists who worked on the first editions of the work.

The exhibition, created on the occasion of the anniversary of the death of one of the greatest and most universal writers, the Spaniard Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra, presents his genius work "Don Quixote de la Mancha" through the illustrations that influenced and influenced its reading during the centuries. The exhibition was first shown in 2016 at the National Library of Algeria on the occasion of the four hundredth anniversary of Cervantes' death and in June 2022 at the National Library "St. St. Cyril and Methodius" in Sofia.

The exposition, which can be visited until the end of August 2022, includes 8 panels with information about the engravings and the various editions of Don Quixote.

The initiative is implemented by the State Institute for Culture under the Minister of Foreign Affairs and aims to activate the representative space on the 7th floor of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs by visiting mobile (poster or photographic) exhibitions from diplomatic missions, cultural institutes, regional museums and galleries.
