On the occasion of May 24: opening of the exhibition “Bulgarian cities - antiquity that lives” in Turin, Italy

The Consulate General of the Republic of Bulgaria in Milan and the State Institute for Culture with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, with the support of the Honorary Consul of Bulgaria for the Piedmont region, Mr. Gianni Maria Stornello, celebrated May 24 in the representative "Villa Amoretti" - headquarters of Biblioteche Civiche Torinesi , where on May 25 the exhibition "Bulgarian cities - antiquity that lives" was opened.
The opening of the exhibition was attended by official representatives of the Turin Municipality and the network of municipal libraries in Turin. As the official guest of the event was Mrs. Snezhana Yoveva - Director of the State Institute for Culture. In her address to the guests, Mrs. Yoveva emphasized: “This photographic exhibition presents some of the most important sites in Bulgaria, included in the UNESCO World Heritage List – the Kazanlak Tomb, the city of Nessebar, and others. I hope that the beautiful photos will provoke you to visit Bulgaria."
The excellent partnership with the Consulate General in Milan once again shows that culture is one of the most successful tools in diplomacy.
In their speeches, Consul General Mrs. Tanya Dimitrova and Honorary Consul Mr. Gianni Maria Stornello spoke about the importance of May 24 for Bulgarians and the importance of the work of the Holy Brothers Cyril and Methodius in establishing the national identity of our people.
