The exhibition "Alphabet and History" was opened at the Rectorate of the University of Montenegro
On the occasion of the Day of the Holy Brothers Cyril and Methodius, the Bulgarian alphabet, education and culture and Slavic literature, HE Ambassador Dr. Meglena Plugchieva opened the exhibition "Alphabet and History" at the Rectorate of the University of Montenegro on May 25, 2022. The exhibition "Alphabet and History" presents the role of the alphabet in the cultural history of the Slavic peoples and writing as the basis of the historical memory of mankind. The exhibition uses material mainly from the Archives of the Center for Slavic-Byzantine Studies "Ivan Duychev", as well as from a number of Bulgarian and foreign bookstores. Authors of the exhibition are art. cor. Aksinia Dzhurova and Prof. Vasya Velinova, PhD, and the consultant is Prof. Dr. Kazimir Popkonstantinov. The exposition is a joint project of the State Cultural Institute at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Center for Slavic-Byzantine Studies "Ivan Duychev" at Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski ” and the Elena and Ivan Duychevi Foundation. The exhibition was attended by representatives of the diplomatic corps, Montenegrin institutions, intellectuals, scientists and the media.
