May 24 in Venice: International Forum and Exhibition Dedicated to Bulgarian Culture

A conference entitled "Bulgaria for the Changing Future of Europe" was held on May 24 in the hall of Ca‘ Foscari University in Venice, organized by Ca Foscari University, the European Commission in Venice, the Council of Europe and others.

Professors, writers and lecturers from Bulgaria and Italy took part - Amelia Licheva, Georgi Gospodinov, Georgi Kapriev, Duzepe Del’ Agata, Teodora Dimova, Daria Karapetkova, Vasya Velinova, Aksinia Dzhurova, Iliana Krapova and others. A special guest and participant was the European Commissioner Maria Gabriel, a greeting was also given by the Consul General of the Republic of Bulgaria in Milan Mrs. Tanya Dimitrova.

As part of the program, the director of the State Institute for Culture under the Minister of Foreign Affairs Snezhana Yoveva and Prof. Aksinia Dzhurova presented to the audience and opened the bilingual exhibition "Miraculous Icons and Holy Relics of the Balkans" and its catalog.

The exhibition is of interest to the academic and student community at the university and will remain in Venice until the end of July.
