Congratulations on May 24: the State Institute for Culture presents the film "The Path of Light"
On the occasion of the bright holiday May 24 – the Day of the Holy Brothers Cyril and Methodius, of the Bulgarian alphabet, education and culture and of Slavic literature, the State Institute for culture greets all Bulgarians and friends of Bulgaria around the world and is pleased to present the documentary "The Path of Light”.
The film's story begins when "the saints are still walking the earth" and traces the path of the Holy Brothers Cyril and Methodius and their disciples, emphasizing the merits of Bulgaria and its Christian rulers for the survival and preservation of their work and its spread among other Slavic nations, which becomes Bulgaria's greatest contribution to European and world culture.
"The Path of Light" is realized within the National Program "Cultural and Historical Heritage, National Memory and Social Development". Coordinator of the program and producer of the film is Prof. Ph.D. Anna-Maria Totomanova.
The film is available to the public on the program's YouTube channel and has been subtitled in 5 foreign languages. With the assistance of the State Institute for Culture, the production is represented with interest in cultural projects abroad by a number of Bulgarian diplomatic missions.
