A Team from the State Institute for Culture Paid a Working Visit to the Town of Bitola, Northern Macedonia

     On February 22-23 in the town of Bitola a working visit of the Director of the State Institute for Culture Mrs. Snezhana Yoveva took place at the invitation of the Consulate General of Bulgaria in the Republic of Macedonia. The purpose of the visit was related to important talks with the Consul General of Bulgaria in Bitola Mr. Dimitar Ivanov on the occasion of the completion of the reconstruction of the representative premises in the building and the need to curate appropriate paintings from the Art Fund of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The team from the the State Institute for Culture to the Minister of Foreign Affairs provided a selected graphic collection for the purposes of cultural diplomacy. Ideas for the implementation of future strategic projects in the field of cultural exchange, presentation of new exhibitions, contemporary Bulgarian films, new books, albums, etc. in the renovated space at the Consulate were discussed.

     A fruitful working meeting was held with the team of a long-standing non-governmental organization, which for over 40 years has been organizing the children's International Art Festival "Little Bitola Mont Martre", which is attended by children from around the world. It was agreed that a selected collection from their rich art archive would visit Sofia, in the premises of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on the occasion of Children's Day. The meeting took place with the active assistance of Ms. Antonia Veleva, Director of the Bulgarian Cultural Information Center in Skopje.
