This year’s selection presents more than 20 Bulgarian titles. Included are both short and feature films, as well as documentaries, and a contemporary production of the Bulgarian National Television – the TV series “Rumbata, Me and Ronaldo”. Most of the productions are available with English subtitles. The selected titles are diverse and offer something for every taste: two of the most awarded films in a number of international festivals – “Lesson” and “Glory” by the directing tandem Peter Valchanov and Kristina Grozeva; as well as the timeless classic “An Orchestra without a Name”. You can watch the actress Marta Vachkova in Nicky Stoichkov’s short film “What’s the Purpose of Bread”. Ivaylo Hristov’s film “Footsteps in the Sand” brings together many of the best Bulgarian actors, such as Yana Titova, Ivan Barnev, and Assen Blatechki. The selection includes the wonderful documentaries by Nayo Titzin: “The Medea Element”, “Loving Carmen”, and “The Golden Heart of Sofia”. Among the documentary productions is “Shears” (dir. Nikolay Stefanov) – an unusual view of the history of hairdressing during communism. You can also watch the film story "The Path of Light", dedicated to the Bulgarian contribution to the European and world culture. The film is a project of the National Scientific Program "Cultural and Historical Heritage, National Memory and Social Development" in partnership with Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski”.
You can watch the entire film program of BG Screen Online completely free of charge at any time of the day, from anywhere in the world, including Bulgaria.
