At the end of last year, with the support of the State Institute for Culture, Bulgaria took part in the Sixth EU-China International Literary Festival - 2021 on the topic "Reading between the lines through women's eyes." The institute made contacts with the writers Ina Valchanova and Emilia Proinova, and the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in China provided their materials to the organizers of the festival. Ina Valchanova was approved to participate.

The 6th EU-China International Literary Festival brings leading writers from all across the European Union to China in a celebration of books, writers and readers. European and Chinese writers gathered online to showcase their combined wealth of literary talents, discuss their craft, and share ideas and experiences. The opening of the festival was held online on November 27, 2021. More information about the program:http://eu-china.literaryfestival.eu/events/.

In order to increase the visibility of Bulgarian art in China, the embassy took the initiative to assist in the inclusion of the writer Emilia Proinova in an online discussion with the Chinese poet Hong Su within the Baturu Festival on Women's Achievements and Rights.
