From the beginning of November 2021, five of the letters-benches are returning to Sofia and on the occasion of the Day of the National Leaders they have been restored and located in the park space of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the State Institute for Culture, where their permanent home will be.

Bulgarian Letters is a project that combines poetry and typography in an urban environment to create new places for reading and outdoor meetings. "Bulgarian Letters" is a traveling exhibition of the Read Sofia Foundation, and their installation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is carried out with the assistance of the State Institute for Culture, which are partners of the initiative. The project team are: Todora Radeva, curator and producer, Kiril Zlatkov, artist, Ivan Ivanov, architect. The typography of the letters-benches uses the font "Comet" by Kiril Zlatkov.

The original benches are made in the form of those letters from the Cyrillic alphabet, which are not present in the Latin and Greek alphabets – Б, Д, Ж, З, И, Й, Ц, Ч, Ш, Щ, Ъ, ь, Ю, Я. Each bench is associated with selected works of some of the most significant and interesting contemporary Bulgarian poets.

In the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a beautiful composition are already located the benches-letters Ж, Я, Ч and З, and in the state Institute for Culture – Д and all visitors will be able to enjoy them.

In 2018, the letter benches appeared for the first time in Sofia, in 2019 they visited Paris and Rabat, in 2020 they were in Berlin, Plovdiv and Budapest, in May 2021 – in Brussels, and then travelled to Münster, Ghent and Edinburgh.
