Participation of the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Tokyo in the Initiative European Day of Languages
An online seminar dedicated to the European Day of Languages was held on September 25, 2021 in Tokyo. The topic of the seminar was "Haiku as a bridge between the Japanese language and the languages of Europe".
For the first year, the Bulgarian Embassy in Tokyo participates in the EUNIC Japan initiative, along with 8 other EU MS - Austria, the Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Poland and Portugal.
Mrs. Elena Kutsarova, translator at the embassy, made a presentation about Bulgaria, the Bulgarian alphabet and culture, and presented three author's haiku poems in Bulgarian translated into Japanese, provided with the kind assistance of the Bulgarian Haiku Union.
