premiere of the Novel
The premiere of the novel "Roots" by Vasilen Vasevski will take place on July 22 at 6:30 pm at the Peroto Literary Club. Vasilen Vasevski was born in 1969 in Sliven. He graduated from the Academy of Arts in Sofia and is a professional artist with over twenty years of experience. His works, appreciated by spectators and art critics, have been shown many times in Bulgaria and around the world. He has worked as a journalist in various media and so far has published several books, essays and travelogues. Roots is his first novel. Here he reveals his long-standing interest in national and tribal history. Vasilen Vasevski lives in Chicago, where he teaches painting at Harold Washington College. The event is part of the State Cultural Institute's program "writing diplomats".
