Virtual tours of Bulgarian museums viewed over 1 million times in 10 days
The State Institute for Culture assisted actively to the Bulgarian diplomatic mission in Beijing for the Bulgarian participation in the Public and Cultural Diplomacy Project of the EU Delegation to China – EUPOP, namely in the part „European Virtual Museum“. The Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in China in cooperation with the Institute provided virtual tours of several Bulgarian museums.
The project team created exciting videos with Chinese language subtitiles, that allowed the Chinese audience to enjoy seeing the exhibitions of Bulgarian museums. The videos were distributed on Chinese social platforms in order to present the culture of the EU countries. The videos for online tours of Bulgarian museums have been viewed over 1 million times for the first 10 days alone!
Through the project, the Chinese audience had the opportunity to see online the exhibitions of the following Bulgarian museums:
• The National Ethnographic Museum
• The National Archaeological Museum
• Regional Ethnographic Museum - Plovdiv
