We are pleased to invite you to visit the virtual photography exhibition organized by the UN Office in Geneva on the occasion of May 1 - International Labor Day. It is entitled "Not A Woman's Job" and presents the stories of women who have contributed to overcoming stereotypes about the "male" and "female" professions and to affirming women's right to equal access to all jobs without gender discrimination. The exhibition includes 170 photographs provided by the permanent missions of member states to the UN in Geneva.
Bulgaria, with the kind assistance of the State Institute of Culture under the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria, participated with a photograph of Maria Atanasova (1926-2000) - the first woman civilian pilot in Bulgaria and the first woman commander of a heavy aircraft in the world.

The exhibition was opened on May 1 between 9 am and 10 am by the Director-General of the United Nations Office in Geneva, Ms. Tatiana Valovaya.
