It provides for a series of events, both at national level and abroad. A documentary-type of exhibition for the Bulgarian sites part of the World Cultural Heritage List and its display in the headquarters of UNESCO in the Bulgarian embassies is being assembled with the State Institute of Culture. Together with UNESCO’s Centre for Intangible Cultural Heritage, a competition ‘Intangible Cultural Heritage: Next Generation’ will be organised in Sofia among young people from the countries in South-East Europe. In the autumn a seminar will be held with the participation of cultural, scientific and educational activists, dedicated to the two anniversaries and to Bulgaria’s membership in UNESCO. There is an aim to attract young people to the activity of UNESCO through the system of the associated UNESCO schools and clubs. A special logo has also been created for the occasion.
