Exhibition "Bulgarian artists of the twentieth century - selected works from the collection of the Bulgarian Embassy in Berlin"

The exhibition "Bulgarian Artists of the 20th Century - Selected Works from the Collection of the Bulgarian Embassy in Berlin" was officially opened on September 30th this year at the Bulgarian Cultural Institute in Berlin. It is organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Berlin, the Bulgarian Cultural Institute - Berlin and the State Institute for Culture under the Minister of Foreign Affairs. Twenty-two works by classical and contemporary Bulgarian artists, who have left a lasting mark in the Bulgarian fine arts and in the cultural tradition of Europe, are to be shown to the general public. The iconic works have an extremely high artistic value and reflect important trends in which the Bulgarian painting of the XX century is developing. In the center of the exhibition were the two watercolors by Konstantin Shtarkelov - "Flowers" and "Seascape", revealing the unique style and handwriting of the great master. The works were exhibited for only a day. Furthermore, the catalog “Konstantin Shtarkelov. The solitary wanderer - 130 years since the birth of the artist" was also presented at the event. 

The guests were greeted by the Ambassador of Bulgaria, Ms. Elena Shekerletova, Director of the Bulgarian Cultural Institute, Mr. Borislav Petranov, Director of the Sofia City Art Gallery, Ms. Adelina Fileva, Director of the State Institute for Culture under the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria, Mrs. Snezhana Yoveva-Dimitrova.

The exhibition, which is curated by Iskra Trayanova, will be open until October 27 this year in Bulgarian Cultural Institute - Berlin
