Bulgarian diplomacy has accumulated experience in expanding the knowledge of our country through cultural projects. In the preparation and holding of the presidency 2017-2018, we will seek to strengthen the position of our country as well as the common European values of diversity and the right to expression," Deputy Minister Georgiev told the guests and representatives of the diplomatic corps.
He emphasised that the preservation of the European perspective of the Western Balkans was a priority in the programme prepared for the Presidency. In this respect, cultural dialogue is an essential resource, he emphasised.
The objectives of the cultural program of the Bulgarian Presidency and the tasks of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in its preparation and realization were presented.
The meeting continued with the presentation of the exhibition "Ancient Messages" - a project by the AMATERAS Foundation. The selection of the exhibition "Ancient Messages" was done in the context of the main messages of the Cultural Programme of the Bulgarian Council of the EU Presidency in the first half of 2018 and for the year of European cultural heritage, Lyudmila Dimitrova said. It is very important for us that the projects by the artists Daniela Todorova and Todor Todorov are being carried out in partnership with artists from many countries.
