The Discharge – A Photosculpture at Instituto Cervantes in Sofia

03/02/09
“The Discharge” or who made Pablo Picasso’s exhibition “I am not searching, I am finding” and how is presented at Instituto Cervantes in Sofia. The non-traditional photo exhibition goes beyond the boundaries typical of the genre in a quest for who and what is behind the arrangement of an exposition. The authors, Boris Misirkov and Georgi Bogdanov, have followed the people who have packed, loaded, transported and arranged Picasso’s large-scale exhibition in Sofia in the course of their work. The result is a project of innovative implementation inspired by Picasso’s Guernica and Rembrandt’s Night Watch featuring Assoc. Prof. Georgi Lozanov’s special participation.

The audience will have the opportunity to see the installation defined by the authors as a “photosculpture” and loaded with the sense of humour typical of them by the end of February.

The project is organised by Barouh and Partners (who gave the initiative for the exhibition “I am not searching, I am finding”) and Instituto Cervantes. The exhibition has been realised with the support of the Institute for Culture.
