Open Day at the Foreign Ministry

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria is to hold an Open Day, with the motto "foreign affairs from within".

On June 18 2016 from 11am to 6pm, all visitors to the MFA will have the opportunity to learn about the various activities of the Foreign Ministry - from what it means to be a diplomat, to the consular services the MFA provides, to the activities of Diplomatic Institute and the State Institute for Culture.

During the Open Day, guests MFA will meet the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria, Daniel Mitov, and will get acquainted with one of the most famous diplomatic families in our country, the Stancioffs.

Visitors to the Foreign Ministry will be able to participate in tours organized by the State Institute for Culture, will witness the student debate on "the public image of Bulgaria during the Bulgarian presidency of the EU" and will see three exhibitions: "Historical and Archival documents, "" Ivan Shishmanov and United Europe" and "Continuity and diplomacy. The Stancioff clan".

Six different stands will present the various activities and services that the MFA carries out and representatives of the Ministry will gives the details of the activities of the various departments. The "European Union - Information Bureau of the European Parliament and European Commission Representation" stand will offer interesting information about our country's membership in the EU, how the Union functions and what the benefits of membership are. Visitors can show off their knowledge of European affairs, taking part in a specially-organised game with prizes.

At the eighth stand, visitors to the MFA will have the opportunity to get acquainted with the activity of the "Karin Dom" Foundation and the Stancioff family.
