The exhibition "The power of civil society - the fate of the Jews in Bulgaria" was presented in Mexico
The travelling exhibition "The power of civil society - the fate of the Jews in Bulgaria" was presented in the central lobby of the Mexican Congress. After a meeting of the Chamber of Deputies to commemorate the International Day of the Victims of the Holocaust, January 27, the exhibition was officially opened. The exhibition was prepared by the Center for Jewish studies at Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski" in partnership with the State Institute for Culture.
"You have to repeat and remind, even to the point of weariness, that the Holocaust is the biggest, the largest genocide ever undertaken in the world," the President of the Chamber of Deputies told the meeting.
Bulgarian Ambassador to Mexico Hristo Gudzhev was invited to deliver opening remarks. Other official guests were the Ambassador of Poland, Beata Wojna, and the Ambassador of the European Union in Mexico, Andrew Standley.
