On 29 May 2024, Deputy Foreign Minister Ivan Kondov received representatives of the Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) of the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE). They discussed the forthcoming elections to the European Parliament in Bulgaria on 9 June.

International conference on the 75th anniversary of NATO and the 20th anniversary of Bulgaria and 6 other countries accession to the North Atlantic Alliance
On 29 May this year, an international conference was held in Madrid entitled ‘Strength in Unity: 20th Anniversary of NATO's Expansion to Central and Eastern Europe" dedicated to the 75th anniversary of NATO's founding and the 20th anniversary of the accession of Bulgaria and 6 other countries to the North Atlantic Alliance. The meeting was organised by the embassies of Romania, Bulgaria, Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, Slovakia and Slovenia, which became full NATO members in 2004. On 23 May 2024 the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Ivan Kondov met with the Ambassador of the State of Israel to Bulgaria H.E. Mr. Yosef Levi Sfari. During the talks, the sides discussed the latest developments in the conflict between Israel and Hamas, as well as issues of bilateral relations and the current situation in the Middle East. Issues concerning cooperation between Bulgaria and Israel in international forums were also in focus.
